Isomux Browser Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Isomux LLC ("we") publishes Isomux Browser, the Chrome extension that lets the agents of an Isomux office use your Chrome tabs. The extension works only with an Isomux office that you or your team run. We receive no data from it.
What the extension reads
- The office address and the browser credential that the office sends when you pair. Chrome keeps them on your computer.
- The content of the tabs that you offer to agents or let agents open, and of the popups that these tabs open, while agents control them: the page, what agents type and click there, and screenshots.
- The address, the title and the selected text of a page that you share with an agent.
Where it goes
Only to the office that you paired with: over an encrypted connection, or a local one when the office runs on the same computer. The people who run that office decide how long it keeps what agents read. We, Google and other third parties receive nothing from the extension. It has no analytics and no ads.
What it does not do
- It does not read your other tabs.
- It does not collect your browsing history. Chrome warns "Read your browsing history" for the webNavigation permission. The extension uses this permission only to find which tab opened a popup.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| debugger | Lets agents control a tab. The extension attaches when you offer the tab or an agent opens it, and detaches when control ends. |
| webNavigation | Finds the popups that a controlled tab opens. |
| activeTab | Lets the popup offer or share the tab that you have open. |
| storage | Keeps the office address, the credential and your settings. |
| alarms | Reconnects to the office after Chrome suspends the extension. |
| scripting | Reads the text that you selected on a page that you share. |
Stop and remove
Turn off Use this tab in the extension popup to end agent control of a tab. Unpair in the popup, or in Integrations → Browser Use in your office, revokes the browser. When you remove the extension, Chrome deletes what it stored.
Hosted Isomux
If your office is a Hosted Isomux office, the Hosted Isomux privacy policy covers the server that runs it.
